The weather App told me it was a dust storm further north, sending dust cover over town for the morning.. In any case, 9am on a Tuesday morning in May, and we still had the most beautiful golden glow. I accidentally timed our morning together with the peak of the highest king tide in decades - meaning we all ended up pretty wet!
Riv is almost 4, and she is the perfect mix of sweet, vivacious, and a total free spirit. After ending up drenched within the first few minutes, I was concerned we might be calling it very early.. but she just laughed it off, had a cuddle with Daddy, made a joke and then kept on running.
This moment set the scene for the next hour - full of energy, sweet moments and such a clear love between them all.
This photoshoot was a beautiful way to honour the arrival of sweet Rebel, just a couple of months old. Newborn shoots are always so sweet, and will forever have my heart. But there is something so special about family shoots when you are bringing your new baby into a home already filled with love and family. Rebel was just happy to be there, and so happy to be loved on - never taking her eyes off her family running around and having fun together..
